Andy O.
Meet Andy O., MSW, RBT!
Andy has been with Partnership for Behavior Change since 2021 as a Registered Behavior Technician, through the BACB. Andy earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Holy Cross College, and a Master’s degree in social work from Indiana University South Bend. Andy’s favorite food is chicken, and although he doesn’t like to cook, he acknowledges the need to become a better cook so that he can start eating healthier. During (and off) work hours, you’ll find Andy with a perpetual smile on his face that can light up a room. After work, you can find Andy singing, playing golf, and spending quality time with family and friends. Some cool facts about him include signing though high school and college, partaking in Boy Scouts as a child, and becoming an Eagle Scout. In his opinion, the most important aspect of applied behavior analysis is the use of task analysis to improve learners’ daily living skills. Andy’s favorite part of the job is “seeing the learners that we are able to help everyday be successful, even if it is something small, and knowing that I played a part in that success.” While it isn’t the most glamorous part of the job, Andy understands the importance of charting so that we are able to see data that shows us learner improvements in addition to learner setbacks to better help them improve. Andy’s favorite color is either blue or green (go Irish!), favorite beverage is a nice cold Coca Cola, favorite movie is Top Gun, and his go-to quote is “live life to the fullest.” Growing up, Andy always saw himself working with and helping children to learn, grow, and succeed, and he finds great satisfaction in his current position. If you asked his coworkers about him, they would say Andy is the best example of “if you don’t get it right the time, try, try again,” because he doesn’t give up on learners. Andy looks forward to helping your learner be successful.
